Today we feature Virgilio Guillermo, remember him, a good looking guy, Elvis look alike? Well, there was a similarity, IMHO and here's his college graduation picture to prove that:
There!!! Really good looking, huh! And he met a very beautiful woman to match:

And together they raised a very Catholic family. The following pictures were taken during their last wedding anniversary, their 40th anniversary - right, Gil?

Congratulations to you Gil and your beautiful family, too!

In the beginning, almost 40 years ago, there was just me and Agnes (nee Bunao.) Now, we are pictured below!

Standing to my right are our sons Raymund (our fourth and youngest, with shades) and Bienvenido Victor, our third. Seated on the arm rest is Ma. Lourdes, our eldest, who barely holds on to her younger daughter Pau (Joanna Pauline). Seated from left is the love of my life Agnes, CusCus seated on Mommy Jemina (our 2nd), and hubby Luis Chua with son Matthew and daughter Faith, Mike, Andre- tending Malou's daughter Bea (Alessandra Beatrice) - Denise, Vivian (Bien's wife) and Chase. Malou's husband Alan Taylan had to attend to pressing business hence his absence on this occassion.
NB- The picture was taken at the lobby of a resort in Matabungkay on August 20, 2007. There has been no addition (nor deletion, thank God!) to our population since then: we have eight (8) grandchildren so far!!!

Thank you, Gene for introducing your lovely family! Hello all and welcome to the SMC family! Hmm, have I posted our family picture here yet? I'll check and post our picture if I have not done that yet. And you all prepare and send us a picture of your brood/barangay asap, i.e., before the SMC Class of 1959 Golden Reunion dates come around!

A little boy goes to his father and asks "Daddy, how was I born?"

The father answers, "Well, son, I guess one day you will need to find out anyway! Your Mom and I first got together in a chat room on Yahoo. Then I set up a date via e-mail and we met at a cyber-cafe.

We sneaked into a secluded room, where your mother agreed to a download from my hard drive. As soon as I was ready to upload, we discovered that neither one of us had used a firewall, and since it was too late to hit the delete button, nine months later a little Pop-Up appeared that said:

"You got Male!"

Subject : [SMCHigh59] The Great SMC Class of 1959 Cyber Chat!!!

Today at around 7:40 am Ph time / 7:40 pm (US) East Coast time, Gene (Generoso Rivera) and I (voice) chatted to our hearts' content over Yahoo! Instant Messenger. The best part was that we did not get to pay a cent! No pesos nor centavos, either! Yes, all for free- too bad Gene had a prior appointment so he had to leave his home and leave his PC behind.

He said he phoned me a while back but my phones were not up to the task. Well, my listed cellphone (0920 530 6122) was lost about a month ago so I updated our classmates list and sent him the updated list over Y!IM.

About my landline, it is a Bayantel account- and even a sister-in-law has commented that most times she called from Bahrain she could not connect. She never had a problem when we had a PLDT connection!

I've had a PLDT connection since 1968 but had it disconnected in 2007- after asking for some three years that they replace their badly rusted entrance service box and they wouldn't!

I wonder how Globe compares for when I switch!

Gene and I had hoped that Jose "Pepe" Lopez would be back from work by 8:30 and join our chat but, unfortunately, he didn't sign on before we did at a few minutes to 9.

Terri was out in the garden then but promised to join the chat next time.

We hope that you will join us the next time that we connect. I find that early morning here is a good time to connect to NY and NJ and a few other states in the US. But I've chatted with Pepe and Terri at odd times due to SCSPS - sleep challenced senior people syndrome - something that I also suffer from!

Classmaes with Yahoo! "handles:" maniajr, generosorivera, toobeemeejogizar (for Terri Lacson,) csogoy (for Elena Sadang,) and roybrisenio (for Ma. Luisa "Ching" Villadelgado. )

Let us warm up for the reunion by having a chat before we meet at the Reunion. If you feel that you could use some help, ask your teenage child- just tell them to put our handles into a Yahoo Instant Messaging group - say, classmates - and to help you connect with us. Email me your "handle" if I do not know it yet and the dates and times that you will connect and I'll also help out. .
